The Woodcarver

The other day I watched the Christian movie called, "The Woodcarver". It was a pretty simple movie with simple message. It is about a young man whose parents are going through a divorce. He destroys the church, because he loses trust in the Lord. Along the way he meets Ernest, who helps Matthew and his broken family restore their faith in the Lord. Ernest says the reason why his wife and his self had such a great marriage was because God was the head of their household and He was always in the forefront.

Another lesson I learned came from the part of the movie, was when Ernest had Matthew ask himself, "What would Jesus do?" before Matthew took any action. In any situation in life, asking that question before acting is a clever thing to do. It makes me think of being in situation with a bully. The Lord wouldn't get down to the level of the bully (emotionally speaking), he would simply pray for them and possibly with them. He would show them kindness and love.

I would recommend this movie if you want to watch a simple family movie that teaches the simplest lessons. It is an easily understandable movie for kids'. There is also a prequel, you can watch the trailer here! http://www.christianfilmdatabase.com/review/wwjd-ii-the-woodcarver/

God Bless,
Jessica
